SHRINGARA RASA

Feelings, emotions plays an important role in every classical dance forms. One of the nine rasas Shringara Rasa can simply be translated as erotic love , romantic love or attraction or beauty. 
As we know that  Hasya Rasa is associated with white colour whereas Lord Vishnu is the presiding deity of Shringara and its colour is Blue . Much of the content revolves around the relationship between a man and a woman. We can say its a figure of speech between lover and beloved. 
The relationship between the individual and the divine. 
Classical theater/ dancers ( i.e. Bharatanatyam  , Odissi , Mohiniattam ) refer to Shringara as the mother of all rasas. Shringara Rasa gives scope countless other emotions also.
Shringara Rasa classified into four heads ;-
1. Samkshipta - This is depicted by shyness.
2. Sampanna   -  This is reunion of lovers after a long separation. 
3. Sambhoga   -  The term literally  means union. The factors is to awaken in the mind like different seasons , desires . This can be represented by movements of eyes , eyebrows,  pleasing facial expressions. 
4. Vipralambha  -  This term means separation . This emotion is caused by the separation of loved ones .
Last but not the least Shringara Rasa's origin is traced to the pleasure of love.
